ISLE OF WIGHT MX GP 2005

The August Bank Holiday (26th-28th Aug 05) will see thousands of people descend upon the Isle of Wight for the second of this years British World Motocross stages. After the triumph of the Matchams event back in June, the stakes have been raised and if last year's event at Arreton (IOW) was anything to go by, spectators are in for a treat! As well as the usual action from the MX1 and MX2 competitions, visitors will also be able to see regular skate/bmx displays, listen to music from over 15 live bands and watch even more racing courtesy of the Muc-Off sponsored Mini Bike Race. After starting out as nothing more than a bit of fun on the side, the Mini Bike Race has developed into one of the main attractions with Jeff Emig, previous winner of both US Motocross and Supercross titles, heading up the field of competitors. With former British GP stars including Warren Edwards, Mervyn Antsie and Jeff Perrett also taking part, it's going to be fiercly competitive and we'll be there in front row seats to help stir things up!
