[Posted 11.06.07]

Another positive Gp for Martin Honda in Saint Jean d'Angely, where today the seventh round of the World Championship was held. French rider Pascal Leuret produced good results and finished fourth in both MX2 motos. Leuret started well and also battled with Cairoli, Pourcel and Rattray in both motos, but he wasn't able to pick up a podium finish. Pascalito is now getting in excellent shape and by growing like this he will be soon able to follow the best 3 riders of this season.

It was really hot today, and the track became very difficult because of the stones that were moved by the bikes. Sold-out and a minute of silence in memory of great Kawasaki manager Jan de Groot, that passed away last Monday.

In MX 1 Swiss rider Julien Bill made his debut, and impressed everybody yesterday with his 6th place during the test sessions. Bill rode well, he clinched 2 good finishes, scoring important points. In Race 1 he had a good start, obtaining the fourth position, that he maintained for the first laps but then he finished fifteenth scoring 1 point. In Race 2 Swiss rider had a good rhtythm, he started from the ninth position and knew how to handle the race, riding his bike to a final eleventh place, scoring 10 points. The Gp was won by Kiwi Coppins, the leader of the Championship.

EUROMX 2 MURCIA
The sixth round of the European Championship was held today in Alhama de Murcia. Gautier Paulin picked up another podium finish, and started from pole. French rider started well in race 1 behind Maddii and Cervellin, then he crashed and he found himself tenth, then he worked his way up to fifth. The race was won by Vongsana ahead of Musquin. Andrea Cervellin fell after a good start, his handlebar was damaged and so he had to withdraw. In Race 2 Paulin had a quick start, Cervellin was eight. French rider then crashed but was able to work his way up to fourth, so he could get a podium.

Cervellin fell and had to withdraw once again, while the race was won by French Vongsana.

“Gautier's performance is surely positive”, said CT Daniele Soligo, “and we could score some important points over Lesage, who scored 0 points today. Our riders yesterday rode very fast ahead of every other rider, today the muddy track caused many crashes, since it has been raining for the last days here in Spain.”
