"It was a wet weekend in Snowdonia for the final of the nps xc on Saturday with Stu finishing a solid 9th and the race being won by Peter riss Andersen from Denmark.
Sunday was my day as I was out do defend my enduro title for the second time, with 400 competitors and 8 very long, wet, rocky, hilly and hard laps ahead.
The first 2 .5 laps we were down to 5 when I realised I had a rear flat, as I repaired it the other four put there heads down for the national title was up for grabs!
I had to chase hard, I was 3 mins down and decided the only chance I had was to ride consistent and hope they ride to hard or have similar luck to me. I got to within 1 min of the lead and James Ouchterlony realised the threat and pulled away from the group I chased till the end picking them of one by one in to the silver medal position, with James taking the win, a great result for him after finishing 2nd for the last 2 years.
It was a tough
day I finished in a time of 5hrs and 40 seconds."
