Motocross World Championship MX1 – 2008 Round # 12 Loket (Czech Republic)

The 12th GP of the season is poor of satisfactions for our guys. De Reuver 17th in the overall, small treasure in this race box.

A difficult week end the one in Loket, Czech Republic where has taken place the 12th race of the Motocross World Championship 2008. Already from the qualifies (De Reuver 13th and Bill 18th ) the race hadn’t taken the right direction for the Team guys.
During the morning warm up Marc has hurt again the left foot injured one month ago, so he has started with the consciousness that was impossible for him to give his best. After the first start he was quite back and he had to recover from the bottom of the group to gain some points important for the championship final races and important also to climb positions in the general classification. After a quite good recover Marc has finished the race in 15th position. For Julien Bill jumped in the middle of the group after the start, his race has lasted just five laps. During the 6th he had to retire cause a mechanical problem.
With the substitution of the bike, in race 2 Bill has been able to jump another time in the middle positions and he has arrived at the first lap in 13th position, instead De Reuver because a mistake at the starting grid has arrived in the first corner more or less last. For Julien the 6th lap has been an other time fatal, a stone has broken the spy of the oil control of engine, he had to leave the race again sooner. Marc De Reuver even the not perfect physical condition has been able to recover many positions ending the race on the 17th place gaining 4 points, that added to the first six of race 1 has given to him the 17th position in the daily classification.

Paolo Martin Team Manager: “ After a week end like this the only thing to do is think positive for the future. It has been an hard week also for the business planning for next year. We thought we could have much more from this race instead we are going to come back home un-satisfied. Now we are quite busy in the business planning because we are trying to put together a stronger Team looking to the next season but we have not forgotten that we still have three races before the end of this Championship, and they will be one after the other. Now we have a stop of two weeks and we will use it to recover our forces and we will work to improve our selves, this a must. We will find the right concentration for the final rush. At the end of the month we will go to Ireland to be again on the top, as it’s right for us.”

Next appointment in Ireland, on the circuit of Fairyhouse Race Course, near Dublin, where will take place the 13th race of the season.
