Great results those had by Julien Bill and Marc De Reuver on the hard and fast French circuit but those results don’t show the real potential of our men.
After the great performance of yesterday, there were obviously great expectations focalised in the Team men’s minds, busy for the 7th appointment of this season. Those expectations didn’t come true about what is happened after the competed heats.
During the first moto also if they didn’t jump at the starting grid in a perfect way, both Julien and Marc have started a real forcing to recover steps to the head of the race. Around the middle of the time race Bill has been able to arrive in the fourth position with De Reuver just two distances far from him but, when everything seemed to go for the best and looking for an attack to the top positions a light physical down of Julien Bill has made him going back till the tenth final position. But the flag of the most unlucky was for Marc De Reuver who had to stop for an inconvenient not so stupid as casual. Jumped with a high speed in a canal to attack the position of a rival, the lever of rear brake of his Crf 450, touching the soil, has bended inside remaining blocked with the clutch carter and consequentially the rear wheel has remained braked. It was impossible to go on the race so De Reuver has been constrict to an anticipate surrender. Also if not exulting for their results our guys are arrive at the starting grid of the second heat very convinced to be able to rescue the not brilliant first performance and in fact, after a good start for both of them they have able to keep a good race rhythm understanding in the best way the difficulties of the French circuit and most of all showing all their real potential. De Reuver has finished on the fourth position instead Bill has resulted 7thafter the chequered flag. After the 7th of the 15 rounds, Marc De Reuver stands on the 9thposition of the general classification instead Julien Bill has arrived on the 15th.
Anyway satisfied Paolo Martin Team Manager “ Also the today performance has underlined that we can have a main role in this Championship. In this week end everything has worked in the right way, bike are ok and the Team, race after race, works always better. Today there was a difficult and fast circuit and we could certainly have better results. Julien Bill is working hard to reach a perfect physical condition in way to be constant in performances and soon he will reach the results he merits, about Marc De Reuver, today we can just say that he has been unlucky but race are made by episodes and we have to accept also the negatives as today. We have been a little bit lucky in Mantova when he got the game, and today we have paid our debit with the luck. We will try to recover next race”.
Next appointment with the Motocross World Championship MX1 in Germany on the circuit of Teutschenthal next June the 29th.
