Round # 8 Teutschenthal (Germany)

[Posted 30.06.08]

Double face race the one of Teutschenthal, that signs the middle of the Championship. Julien Bill has been author of a superior performance instead Marc De Reuver collects a heavy double “zero”.

On the circuit of Talkessel, in the territory of Saxon just few Km far from Leipzig, has taken place the 8th GP that has signed the middle of the Championship. After the great performances of yesterday , the riders in the seat of the full factory Honda Martin Crf 450 are arrived motivated and ready to compete an attacking race. An attack that Julien Bill has good managed with two noticeable races. In the first heat he has kept for the most time the fourth position, very near the head group, before ending on the fifth place the heat just 12 seconds far from the winner, that shows his improvement of performances during the races.
In the second heat after a good start, he has fought like a lion to remain in the train of the bests till the 7th final position. Thanks to the two gained positions, Julien has finished the GP of Germany on the 6th place with a total score of 30 points that put him on the 14th place of the general classification of the championship.
In contrast to the happiness of Bill the bitterness of De Reuver. Convinced and determinate to bring home a prestigious result, that was in his possibilities, especially after the respectable time on lap registered, Marc had to surrender after two unlucky events. In race, after a start in the middle of the group and hen he was preparing the final attacks for the recover to the head positions, a simple technical snag has constricted him to an anticipate stop. During the second heat the misfortune has completed its course to the smiling flying Dutch. On the first corner after the start, Marc has been involved in a common fall that has caused to him many contusions all over his body. Bravely he has also tried to re-start the race, but he has immediately understood that he wasn’t completely able to ride so he has preferred to come back to the paddock to don’t compromise his physic situation.
This is the first comment of Paolo Martin Team Manager:
“ it has been a difficult week end, most of all for the double zero of De Reuver. We have to take care always of the positive aspect of event and today Bill has done a really good race, the best of his season till this moment, and it shows that the Team work is giving its results. In the first heat we were exulting for his wonderful way of driving and fighting with those riders who are leading the World Championship. The level of those riders who fight for the victory is really high and for us, to have one rider able to fight for the top is a big satisfaction. A real pity the unlucky day of De Reuver, but it’s already time too look over and to start thinking to the next race. It is important also to learn from negative days like today. We are going to concentrate on the next GP hoping to bring our two riders on the top”.
Next appointment with the queen class of motocross on the circuit of Uddevalla inSweden, where in the next week end will take place the 9th GP of the season.
